Reading the news today I saw Amazon is hiring 50,000 people… most warehouse jobs, but I see good for work at home job seekers, too. Read why.
Most of those 50,000 jobs are warehouse positions that will be filled on August 2nd at a number of job fairs across the country. You can find out more about Amazon’s Job Day and where they will be held by following this link.
As Fortune Magazine pointed out, this hiring “spree” is also part of an overall ramping up of jobs:
Amazon’s big jobs push seems to follow up on an earlier announcement Amazon made in January when it said it plans to hire 100,000 full-time employees by the middle of 2018. Besides warehouse workers, Amazon also wants to hire software engineers, data scientists, and customer service workers.
I’m also pretty sure it’s starting now because of the holiday and the fact that Amazon has grown so much in the past three years. At this point, Amazon is hiring warehouse positions and not talking about their work at home or remote positions. But here’s what I know…
The holidays are coming. And in years past Amazon has hired a lot of people for to work directly for their own homes.
And here’s the other thing I know…
The early bird (and applicant) gets the job!
So, this is just a heads up my work from home moms and dad friends… start checking the Amazon job board. Daily. Follow this link to Amazon’s Job Board and use keywords such as “work from home” and “remote” in the search.
Happy Job Hunting,
